Disney's Alice In Wonderland was a project Walt had contemplated for nearly 20 years before he had the resources to finally make it. The result was a magical trip through the world created by Lewis Carrol. This film used more major film stars for voices than any previous Disney feature since Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. We have created several pieces that we think capture the joy and spirit of this film. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Jerry Colonna as The March HareThis is one of our famous character voice autographs. It features the late great comedian
Jerry Colonna who became famous on radio in the 1930's and even more so later in movies. If you ever watched the
old "Road" pictures starring Bob Hope and Bing Crosby, you'll recognize Jerry as the bug-eyed comic with
the thick bushy moustache who was famous for his stilted speaking style and the unique ability while singing to hold
a note for an unbelievably long time. You can hear an example of this in one of his earlier works for Disney when
he narrated the "Casey At The Bat" sequence in "Melody Time." But here we celebrate his
outstanding performance in "Alice In Wonderland," in which he voiced the outrageous March Hare. If you
look closely, you'll see that the character looks a lot like the actor - something we more often see today in Disney
features than during the early years. Mr. Colonna passed away many, many years ago and his autograph is very rare,
so we are happy to be able to offer it in this piece that is sure to please any fan of Alice In Wonderland. The picture of The March Hare is 6x6", the picture of Jerry is 3x3", and the signature card is 3x4-½" in a 12x16" acid-free mat. |
