Walt Disney's The Sword in the Stone was a magical film
that contained some of the Studio's most memorable scenes and
characters. Who among us will ever forget the Wizard's Duel between
Merlin and the Marvelous Mad Madam Mim? And when Wart is transformed
into a bird, a squirrel, and a fish, it took great imagination to bring
those images to the screen. Together with The Jungle Book, this
film represents the apex of Walt Disney's artistic genius in animation. Here are some images we hope you'll want on your walls.

Sword In The Stone Cels
I'm just back from the D23 Expo in Anaheim and rather than go through the torture of eBay, I've posted lots of pins on our Disney pins page. There are also other D23 Expo items available elsewhere on our site. I only have one of most of these treasures, so don't wait!
We're happy to announce that we've just made available a small number of Storyboard Magazine back issues signed by
well-known Disney animators. We've had these in our vault for over ten years, just waiting for
the right time to share them with Disney animation fans.
See them all on our Disney Collectibles page.
Young Wart Original Animation CelHere we have an attractive production cel from Disney's The Sword In The Stone showing the young Wart attending chores in Sir Hector's castle. Thankfully, Merlin will soon come to his rescue. This cel comes from the Art Corner shop in Disneyland and comes with the original mat and reproduction background. Its an excellent full-figure, eyes open image, and emminently collectible. There is some slight staining on the mat, but the cel itself is in excellent condition. |
Merlin as a Squirrel Sword in the Stone

Wart Original Animation CelProduction cel from The Sword in the Stone. It shows Wart who has been turned into a squirrel by Merlin in order to teach him about life. Poor Wart is being scolded by an irate bird. The piece has a 9x11" cel opening in a 17x19" mat, and comes with an unmatched reproduction background (presumably an Art Corner background). |
