RainboRick's Tools and Scripts for Webmasters

In designing websites for our own businesses as well as for others, I've developed a collection of Perl scripts, JavaScript and other tools and programming tutorials that can be used by any webmaster to enhance their website that don't require a Master's degree in programming. I have worked hard to make everything here as reliable as I can and to make it simple to install. You'll find that each of the packages below comes with good step-by-step documentation and you don't have to register your EMail address, submit to a full-body search, or provide a blood sample just to try them out. All you have to do is click on a button and the script will download to your computer.

Most of these packages are freeware and you can use them on your site at no cost on the sole condition that if you use the code from these packages, in whole or in part, that you put a link on your site back to this page. The two shareware packages have a very modest licensing fee that you can pay safely and quickly using PayPal or just send a check. The EMail address you'll find at the bottom of this page is my real everyday EMail box and so if you send a message, I will receive it and do my best to respond as time permits. Thank-you!

Webmasters! Is Your Site Getting Its Fair Share of Search Engine Traffic?

How well does your site rank in the major search engines? Studies show that over 80% of first-time visitors find websites through the popular search engines like Google, Yahoo! and MSN Search. If your site isn't designed right, it won't show up when users are looking for the products, services, and information you make available through your website. I offer a Free Search Engine Evaluation that will check your site's presence and performance on the major search engines. You'll see what you're doing right, what you're doing wrong, and what you could do better. See Rainbo Rick's Search Engine Services and sign up to get your Free Evaluation today!

Those of you using Netscape v7.x or Mozilla v1.x, be sure to check out the Sidebars available from Netscape DevEdge. They offer sidebars that are very useful to webpage designers including Quick Reference guides to HTML 4.01, CSS Level 1 and Level 2, as well as two DOM helpers. I'm finding the Sidebar to be very useful now that I've removed most of the advertising tools and installed several of the developer Sidebars. Use the Manager to rearrange the order in which the Sidebar tabs appear in the list and you'll see what I mean.
