"Shinbone Alley" was a 1971 animated version of a popular series of newspaper columns called "Archy and Mehitabel" written by Don Marquis beginning in 1916. The stories of Archy the cockroach and Mehitabel the alley cat have remained popular through the years. Despite the writing talents of people like Mel Brooks, and the voices of fine actors Carol Channing and Eddie Bracken, the film is cherished largely by those who love the stories. This cel features a typical image of Archy. It measures 7x9" with a reproduction background, in an 11x14" mat. |
