Snow White Cels & Collectibles

In 1937, they called Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs "Walt's Folly" because nobody had ever made a feature-length cartoon before. Many people thought that audiences wouldn't sit for a cartoon that lasted over an hour. But Walt Disney believed in the project so deeply that he bet the entire Studio and everything he owned on its success. Obviously Walt's faith was vindicated and nearly 70 years later, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is still one of the most popular movies of all time. The story was enchanting, the Wicked Queen was bone-chilling, the princess was heart-warming, and the Prince was, of course, Charming. You didn't really think I would pass up the opportunity to make that joke, did you?

Snow White at the Wishing Well Sericel

This is a limited edition serigraph that was one of four that were included with a book issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the release of Snow White. It is #4051 of 9500 and comes with a matching reproduction background that was included in the book. 10½x13" cel opening in a 16x20" double mat. The frame has been noticeably scratched along the left edge, so we reduced the price accordingly. You can have it repaired or replaced easily.

That jolly dwarf Happy here is one of a series of attractive toy figures from Tomy in Japan they call their Magical Collection. He's about 4 inches tall and comes with a pick axe so he's ready to head off for the diamond mine and start singing "Heigh-Ho!" from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."
