This film, which opened November 2, 2001, tells the stories of the
monsters who live in the bedroom closets of little kids. It features the
voice talents of Billy Crystal and John Goodman, among many other stars. This movie represented a
major leap in computer animation in many ways, notably for the details in Sulley's fur and
how it moved so naturally as he did.

It's the Japanese version of the disc from our personal collection. It has only been played twice,
and it's still in excellent condition. One of the good things about Blu-Ray is that the region
system is much broader than it was on DVD, so THIS DISC WILL PLAY ON
ALL US BLU-RAY PLAYERS.
Of course, since it comes from Japan, all of the menus are in Japanese
and so it takes a little effort to play the movie and the extras. Mostly, all you have to do is push
the Language selection button on your remote control to play the movie with the English soundtrack.
The special features, like the interviews with the animators, are mostly in English already, and much
of the content that was targeted to Japan has enough English in it that you'll be able to enjoy it.
It's actually lots of fun to play around in the Japanese menus while you explore the disc. And your
jaw will drop when you see all of the details in the movie. The characters have a much more realistic
image than on the DVD. You'll see every hair on Sully and the skin on Randall is just too neat for

Monsters Inc. Sulley Mini Figure
A cute vending machine toy from Japan. Its a 2 inch figure of
Sulley. Not something we'd normally have, but he's definitely above average
and there's not many Monsters Inc. items out there.
