Disney has been making high-quality fine jewelry for Disneyland and
Walt Disney World for over 40 years. And they continued to do so when they opened The
Disney Stores in the 1980s. It's been our pleasure to offer a small assortment of
these fun fashion accessories from Disney for over 12 years. We also carry some
constume jewelry, and extra special collectible Disney coins just for fun. We hope
you enjoy seeing it all.

| Mickey's 50th Anniversary Gold PendantThis is an exquisite gift for that special Mickey fan. Its a
3/4-inch pendant issued in 1978 to celebrate Mickey's 50th Anniversary. Made by
The Franklin Mint, its 24 karat gold electroplate on sterling silver. Still with
the original box and certificate. Its no longer in perfect condition, but still
very good overall. There are some small marks on one side of the pendant, and
a very small scratch on the other side. Its still a charming piece of Disney jewelry that shows an
outline image of Mickey that reminds me of his appearance in the original Fantasia
when he stepped up to shake hands with the great Leopold Stokowski. Save
$50.00 off our original price! |
1985 Mouse Club Ward Kimball 'not Mickey' NecklaceOver 20 years ago, there was a Disneyana club called "The Mouse Club" that was started
by some fans in the SF Bay area. It was similar to The National Fantasy Fan Club and
they had conventions near Disneyland twice a year. I don't think I ever heard the whole story about
how the logo was created,
but the upshot was that Disney wouldn't let them use an image of Mickey for the club logo. But
the couple that ran the club were friends with Ward Kimball, who created this Unknown Mouse
mascot for their logo - patterned after a cheezy stand-up comedian called The Unknown Comic who used to appear on "The
Gong Show" in the 1970's. It's a nice cloisonne' pendant on a chain necklace. From our personal
collection, its a truly rare piece of Disneyana history. |
