"The Lion King". The brooch is about 2" tall from
the tip of his tail feathers to his feet. Done in a cloisonne,
with rhinestones embedded in the body, much in the style of
Wendy Gell. Originally sold in Disneyland in the 1990's. |

little rhinestones in the stars. The charms are about 1/2".
From our personal collection, the bracelet is in very good condition. |
Tinker Bell Necklace FigureThis gorgeous Tinker Bell features rhinestones in her wings that
sparkle brightly and immediately catch everyone's eye. She originally
had a gold chain, which needs to be replaced. She's about 1-1/2"
tall and very elegant. |
1985 Mouse Club Ward Kimball 'not Mickey' NecklaceOver 20 years ago, there was a Disneyana club called "The Mouse Club" that was started
by some fans in the SF Bay area. It was similar to The National Fantasy Fan Club and
they had conventions near Disneyland twice a year. I don't think I ever heard the whole story about
how the logo was created,
but the upshot was that Disney wouldn't let them use an image of Mickey for the club logo. But
the couple that ran the club were friends with Disney animator Ward Kimball, who created this Unknown Mouse
mascot for their logo. I believe it was patterned after a cheezy stand-up comedian called The Unknown Comic
who used to appear on "The Gong Show" in the 1970's. It's a nice cloisonne' pendant on a chain
necklace. From our personal collection, its a truly rare piece of Disneyana history. |
Since before the opening of Disneyland, Disney has been selling character keyrings, keychains, or (if you prefer) keyfobs that let you bring the magic with you. We're pleased to finally be able to show you some excellent Disney keyrings we have for sale.
