Hanna-Barbera Flintstones Animation Cels

The team of William Hanna and Joseph Barbera worked at MGM Studios for many years, creating many memorable cartoons including the popular Tom and Jerry series. Of course, they are best known because they created the first animated series for network television, "Ruff and Ready", followed by many others, including "The Flinstones", and "The Jetsons". I have fond memories of watching Ruff and Ready with my sister on Saturday mornings. I loved outer space stories, and one of their adventures was to the planet "Muni-Mula", which I still giggle over. And then a few years later, I was a devoted fan of Huckleberry Hound and that Smarter-Than-The-Average-Bear named Yogi. Here we have some wonderful images that emerged from the work of these two pioneers of animation for television.

Flintstones Original Animation Cel

Our two friends are shown in a typical pose, dancing side by side. This is a production cel from television, probably from the later series in the 1970's. It has a 9x11½" opening in a 12x16" mat with a supplied background.

Goober and the Ghostchasers Title Cel

This is a rare title cel from the Hanna-Barbera television series "Goober and the Ghostchasers" from 1973. It features a close-up image of the star, Goober the dog. The cel measures 9x12" in a 12x16" mat.

The Shmoo Production Cel

This is a cel from the Hanna-Barbera television series "The New Shmoo" from 1979. It was based on a character from Al Capp's "L'il Abner" comic strip. It shows the famous blob in a classic pose with hearts. The cel measures 10x8" in a 16x12" mat.

Hanna Barbera Television Cel of Pilot

This is a cel from an unknown Hanna-Barbera television series. I'd appreciate any information. The cel measures 9x12" with a supplied background in a 12x16" mat.

Jabberjaw Original Animation Cel

Jabberjaw was a Hanna-Barbera television show that was produced for one season in 1976. It was a show that featured Jabberjaw as the leader of the fish rock band, "The Neptunes" and gained a following through re-runs on various cable channels through the years since. The cel is 8x12" in a 14x18" mat. The cel is protected in shrinkwrap, so the dirt in the image is all on the wrapper. The piece itself is in excellent condition, and carries the ASIFA Hollywood seal and Certificate of Authenticity.
