This is the May/June 1993 edition of Storyboard Magazine that featured Timon and Pumbaa from "The Lion King" along with their respective lead animators, Mike Surrey and Tony Bancroft. Mike is still with Disney. Soon after Lion King was released, Tony moved over to Dreamworks to work with Jeffrey Katzenberg. Tony has a brother who is also an animator that works for Disney. This magazine was autographed in person by both of these talented artists at the National Fantasy Fan Club Convention. This issue features an interview with the noted artist and Disney Legend Sam McKim whose designs were used for many famous landmarks in Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Tokyo Disneyland. So it's a double-treat for Disney collectors! |
