Norm McCabe was one of the original animators for Warner Bros. under director Leon Schlesinger in the 1930's, starting with Looney Tunes cartoons doing Porky Pig. He continued working there through the 1960's. When Warner Bros. stopped producing theatrical cartoons, he worked with Friz Freleng at DePatie-Freleng Enterprises producing the opening title sequence for "The Pink Panther", and continued working on that character when the studio produced the television series. Mr. McCabe's career in television animation continued through the 1990's, working on many projects for Warner Bros. such as "Daffy Duck's Fantastic Island" "Tiny Toons" and "Animaniacs". He also worked on "Fritz The Cat" for Ralph Bakshi, the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" television series, and dozens of other major productions. This is a lithograph of an original drawing of Tweety Bird and Michigan Frog drawn by Mr. McCabe for the 1996 Annual ASIFA Convention where we obtained the autograph in person from Mr. McCabe. It is inscribed, "Hello Margaret, Norm McCabe". The piece measures approximately 8-1/2 x 11 inches. Any animation fan would love this collectible artwork by this talented and prolific artist.
