Did you know that Walt Disney had a private apartment above the firehouse in Disneyland? As a prize at an Annual Passholder Event in 1995, we won dinner in that apartment which has been preserved since Walt's passing in 1966. The Queen of Cartoon Voices, June Foray is, of course, best known to most Americans these days for giving voice to a male cartoon character - Rocky the Flying Squirrel. But she got her start in show business on radio in the early 1930's when she was barely a teenager. She went on to perform with Jimmy Durante and Bob Hope, as well as doing small parts in live action movies in the 1930s and 40s. She frequently performed voices for commercials and comedy albums for Stan Freberg and was also in the cast of his radio program. She's also provided the voices of Witch Hazel and Granny in several Warner Bros. cartoons dating back to the 1950's, as well as parts in Hanna-Barbera cartoons.
This is an 8x10 inch color publicity photo for The Bullwinkle Show, that includes all of the characters from that cartoon series, including three for which June provided the voice: Rocky (of course) and Boris Badenov's partner Natasha Fatale, and Nell Fenwick from Dudley Do-Right. She was also the voice of Lucifer the Cat in Disney's Cinderella.
