Multi-talented Jerry Orbach (1935 - 2004) gave a sterling performance as Lumiere in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" where he mimicked Maurice Chevalier. While most Americans know him best for his TV role as Detective Lenny Briscoe in "Law & Order", and in the movie "Dirty Dancing" his roots are on the Broadway stage where he won a Tony Award for his performance in "Promises, Promises", and was nominated several times for other shows. I was a fan of his role as P.I. Harry McGraw in "Murder, She Wrote" with Angela Lansbury, which was spun off into a short-lived show of its own. This is a Disney Studio publicity photo signed by Jerry Orbach. NOTE: There is some residue from photo corners on the photo. It should be easy to clean with Gum-Off. The piece is otherwise excellent.
