Clarence "Ducky" Nash created the voice for Donald Duck in the 1930's and performed for Donald and Disney until shortly before he passed away in 1985. In those later years, he trained Disney animator Tony Anselmo to do Donald. This piece is a tribute to Mr. Nash. It contains an 8x10" publicity photo of Clarence with a Donald Duck doll, matched with a page from a Studio press release for "Mickey's Christmas Carol" (in which Clarence was the only original voice) inscribed to a young fan, "Hi Mike, Donald Duck & Clarence 'Ducky' Nash". The mat measures a big and bold 16x20". |
