Nothing pleases audiences as much as a swashbuckling hero and a beautiful damsel in distress, so the success of Disney's adaptation of the legend of Robin Hood should not have surprised anyone. Although the main characters were voiced by British actors who were essentially unknown to American audiences, the star-studded vocal cast included several familiar actors, including Sir Peter Ustinov, Phil Harris, Andy Devine, Roger Williams, and many others.

Who Was The Voice?

Most Disney fans have a favorite character, and one of the things that makes each character special is the voice that is usually provided by a celbrity actor or actress. I've just created a special section of our site for our featured Voice Actor Autographs where we take the autograph of the voice actor and match it with some attractive art to create unique collectibles. In addition, each movie's page has a list of the main characters and the names of the actors who gave them their voice. Who Dat? Follow the link and find out!


New Animation Art Added

I've been working hard lately to refresh the images on our site. The work is long overdue, but the good news is that it's given me the chance to photograph a lot of art that we've never shown online before. For example, I just added a new page of cels from Adventures in Dinosaur City and cels from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I've also added a lot of cels from independent productions like Allegro Non Troppo. Roger Miller as Alan-A-Dale Autograph

Roger Miller rose to fame in the 1960's as a country music star with hits like "King of the Road" and "England Swings" that often told stories with a humorous bent. It was undoubtedly this combination that led Disney to cast him in this story from Jolly Old England, despite the clash of cultures involved. He gave troubador and narrator Alan-A-Dale the right mix of storyteller and singer. He passed away in 1992 at the young age of 56, but not before he'd won a Tony Award for his music for the Broadway show "Big River". He was also inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. This big, bold, piece includes an autographed index card with a 3x3" picture of Mr. Williams and a 8x10" picture of his alter-ego Alan-A-Dale, all in an 14x18" mat.

Pat Buttram as The Sherrif of Nottingham Autograph

Pat Buttram was a character actor in "B" cowboy movies and serials in the 1940's and 1950's, including a stint as a sidekick on the old "Roy Rogers" television series. Sadly, Mr. Buttram passed away in 1994. He is best known to Americans as the travelling conman Mr. Haney in the 1960's sitcom Green Acres, in which he starred with Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor. But he also did the voices of several Disney characters, including the evil Sheriff. This piece is in an 11x14" mat, the artwork is 7x7", and the rare signed publicity photo is 6x7".
